Venezia

VENICE (Venezia)

Venice (Italian: Venezia) is one of the most interesting and lovely places in the world.
This sanctuary on a lagoon is virtually the same as it was six hundred years ago, which adds to the fascinating character. Venice has decayed since its heyday and is heavily touristed (there are slightly more tourists than residents), but the romantic charm remains. (wikipedia)

A gateway to another world ... Be my guest !

"When God puts a dream in your heart,  He places provision in your path."
-Victoria Osteen

The other day, while walking home with my little daughter, we passed by a strange stone arch which amazed me.  I had to stop and take a peek to what seemed to be a gateway to another world.  Lo and behold,  the arch was the built as a primary entrance which led to a spacious private lawn.  Since it was a private property, I wasn't sure if the owners would permit just anyone to enter and explore the place,  nevertheless,  I had to content myself with taking a picture from the entrance and just sighed in gratitude.  Grazie! What a lovely sight!

ancora sognare .... La vita è bellissime!

ancora sognare...

"Osservo le placide acque del lago, nei riflessi, le montagne il sorriso di un fanciullo, quel sorriso innocente illumina in un solo istante la mia esistenza. In fondo ai nostri cuori riposa lo sguardo di un fanciullo attraverso i suoi occhi possiamo ancora sognare..."  ... ancora La vita è bellissime!

The apples of Trentino

The Trentino region is one of Europe's most important for the production of quality apples, despite the cultivable area is reduced to the valley floor and some plateaus. The cultivation, quality control and marketing of apples are grown by small farmers of Trentino, entrusted to a group of cooperatives and consortiums, including "la Trentina" and "Melinda", the most well-known brands.

Among the varieties we find the most grown are: Golden Delicious, Stark Delicious, Granny Smith, Royal Gala, Winesap, Morgenduft, Fuji and Braeburn, but also the most traditional the Renetta and Canada.

Almost all of the crop is based on the techniques of organic farming, biodynamic or, for the most part, integrated. The latter is finalized to the drastic reduction of the chemical treatments and the replacement of these with natural biological rhythms, in order to provide a production more genuine as possible that, at the same time, protects and respects the environment, and that is the true heritage be preserved in the interest of both producers and consumers.

The typical Trentina kitchen uses apples for some sweets such as the famous apple strudel and smorn, a sweet omelette made from apples, eggs, flour and sugar.

Confessions from a reluctant blogger ...

Ok. I admit!  I've been behind my blogging activites for more than a year now and It isn't quite like me at all.  I joined the bandwagon about blogging simply because I was curious and thought I could do it better than others but I was wrong. I have so many things to learn about this stuff and am still learning.  My passion for photography, domestic life, teaching and posting on social media has been making me busy for a year or so.  And yet, it seemed I was still searching for something that will express my innermost thoughts, share other people's inspirations as well as showcase my own gallery of photos that I have personally taken through the years.  Amidst the world crisis, war and suffering, LIFE after all,  is still beautiful and will still go on.  Join me in this continuing saga of life through pictures and words of hope and inspiration.
