Believe

Allow yourself to believe that the best in life is possible for you. Let your belief infect, infuse and empower your thoughts, your actions, and your expectations. In your belief is the power to overcome whatever obstacles may stand in your way.

Buongiorno giugno!

...just to share something I've read this morning and it took the words from my thoughts... very inspiring indeed!  Let's make it a great day!!!

The Dash Between The Years

--posted by Letmebealittlekinder on Apr 15, 2009

While busy with work and deadlines and feeling somewhat under pressure, I was sent an advertisement for some inspirational books, one of which included the poem below. When I first glanced at the title, I assumed it was a poem about the race and rush of life, but as I read on it stopped me dead in my tracks and brought tears to my eyes.
I had just snapped at a family member and didn’t take notice when she tried to get my attention. I stopped what I was doing and went over to give a hug to the person I talked to so sharply, and sat down to talk with her. Not only did it clear the air between us and made her feel a whole lot better, but my own mood also brightened. The feeling of pressure lifted and at the end of the day I felt like I had accomplished what was most important, even though I wasn’t able to cross all my to-do’s off my ever growing list.
I hope this poem will inspire you as much as it did me, and that its effect will linger a long time, or better yet, forever, in our hearts! I hope to make the dash of my life, no matter how short or long it may turn out to be, something worth remembering.

The Dash
By Linda Ellis
I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning…to the end.
He noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke of the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth
And now only those who love her
Know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own,
The cars…the house…the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard;
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
That can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
To consider what’s true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect
And more often wear a smile…
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.
So when your eulogy is read
With your life’s actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?

Blessings....

"Today may there be peace within.
May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others.
May you use the gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content with yourself just the way you are.
Let this knowledge settle into your bones,
and allow your soul  the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.

It is there for each and  every one of us."  ~ Christine Spencer

Amazing Rainbows!

Whatever "storm" you are going through, when you see these colorful rays of light there is no way your day won't get brighter.  It's amazing when you look out your window and see this magnificent image.  They make the world more colorful in every way and just light up the sky!  So if you're feeling down and wherever you are and whatever is going on in your life... just look for that rainbow in your situation!  Make It A Great Day!!! :) Ciao!

Sunrise

"Sunrise is the most joyous part of the day, it's like a warm hug from a friend, and an expansive feeling that the whole day is stretched out right in front me, with endless possibilities.  I have to admit that the second most favorite is the sun setting, and soaking in the few rays left for the day.

Although there’s a quiet sadness to it, there’s also a calmness -- as the birds start to quiet down and snuggle up for the night.  And a great joy in knowing that it will start all over again tomorrow morning.  Regardless of how I feel and what melodrama my mind is entangled up in -- this cycle continues.  There’s a great comfort in knowing this.  A humility in moment of seeing that I’m just a very tiny part of the whole.  And nothing I do or leave undone is going to have the same effect as the sun deciding to take a day off. The simple joy of surrendering to a grander scheme of things. As my grandfather often use to say, “not even a leaf moves without His will.”

The many lessons that nature has to teach me, if I stay close to it. Perhaps more significant than anything else I’m learning is, the importance of taking out the weeds when they are small. Because otherwise, it's impossible to water the grass without watering the weeds along with it."

Ti Ricordi Perchè

Da qui cominciano i ricordi
e tu
vai via senza saperlo
ti viene fuori un "ciao" che sembra quasi dire...
"Sò già che starò male"

da qui cominciano i ricordi

io con te dentro volo
e tu mi sentirai passare
se devi andare vai
fai prima che puoi
no non ti voltare
da qui fotografo ricordi

Sei il mio primo pensiero
da quando apro gli occhi
nelle mattine che si accendono
su e giù fra pelle e cuore
fino a spaccarci dentro
fino a dimenticarsi e ritornare...

Ti ricordi davvero di me? O ti ricordi perchè?

I sentieri di pietra correvo
e ridevo a te

ti baciavo e sapevi di sale
e di cose belle da fare...

Ho un'immagine di te
opaca senza tempo

e ridevo a te

ti ricordi davvero di me? O ti ricordi perchè?
Ti Ricordi Perchè (testi canzoni di Biagio Antonacci)

The Rainbow

"Sometimes when I am sad and lonely,
I would tell myself
that behind the thick dark clouds
there is a beautiful twilight of many colors
all I need is to have faith
and believe
that the light will prevail and shine upon me,
guide me through the darkest hours...

You and I have been through many things.
I'll hold on to your heart.
I wouldn't cry for anything,
But don't go tearing your life apart.

I have seen fear. I have seen faith.
Seen the look of anger on your face.
And if you want to talk about what will be,
Come and sit with me,
 and cry on my shoulder,
I'm a friend...
And if you want to talk about it some more,
come stay with me and cry on my shoulder,
I'm a friend..."

"When the night, has been too lonely,
And the road, has been too long.
And you feel,
that love is only for the lucky,
and the strong.
Just remember, in the winter,
far beneath the bitter snow,
lies a seed, that with the sun's love,
In the spring...
becomes a rose..." - The Rose
